In March of 2008 we headed to New Orleans to assist those whose homes had been damaged by Hurricane Katrina on Hillel's Hurricane Katrina Alternative Spring Break. While there, students rebuilt homes and a baseball field at a local school, spoke with community members and learned about the history of Hurricane Katrina.
